In a nutshell: Minimalist design with an Art Nouveau flair. Perfectly located for a Scandinavian city break - especially during the cooler months, as you can warm up in the sauna.
The details: Byredo toiletries! It was a dream come true when I discovered that the hotel provides Byredo's Bal D'Afrique (my favourite scent) soap, body lotion, shampoo, and conditioner.

The story:
Part of the Nobis Hospitality Group, Miss Clara is the more affordable little sister of Stockholm's famed Nobis Hotel.
I love staying in properties that had previous lives. Built in 1910 and designed by Swedish architectural house, Hagstrom & Ekman, the Art Nouveau building used to be a girls school, The hotel's name pays homage to Clara Stromberg, a beloved and courageous headmistress who sought to challenge existing norms for women. In recent years, famed architect Gert Windgardh has modernised the seven-story building, whilst successfully maintaining its original character. The Miss Clara room interiors make use of darker woods, leather, and the light coming through the gorgeous arched windows.
Location: 5/5
Located in Norrmalm, the hotel within walking distance to Kungstradgarden, Gamla Stan and the harbour. Particularly wonderful was the Fabrique Bakery on the opposite side of the street and the nearby Mexican restaurant, La Neta.
Closing statement: Highly recommend staying here if you love well-designed, affordable hotels with a historical warmth reflective of the city's past.
